FAQ
What is the best way to contact Hudson Ink?
Either by phone (910.324.6494) or email. When emailing, you should generally get a response within 24 hours.
Can I fax you something?
Absolutely! My efax number is 815.371.2504. If it's going to be more than 10 pages, please contact me for an alternate number.
How much do you charge to proof a paper?
Proofing is $30 per hour. Please refer to the rates page for more detailed information (and a printer-friendly page).
How long does it take to proof a paper?
It depends on the length of the paper and the amount (extent) of editing required. The more things that need changing, the longer it will take!
How long does it take to design a brochure?
It depends on the number of pages, but it generally works out to one hour per single-sided page. It may take longer if extenstive typing is required. (If client can provide text via email, disk, etc., design time will be shorter.)
Are there any minimum fees I should be aware of?
All projects come with a one-hour minimum fee unless otherwise noted. Please refer to the rates page for more detailed information.
How long does it take to do a resume?
It depends on your needs. Creating a resume from scratch (including typing and design) would take longer than if we started with an old resume already on disk. It also depends on how many design elements you'd like to add and how particular you are when presented with the final product!
I want a project that isn't listed. How much would you charge?
Email or phone in your request, we'll discuss what you want, then come up with a quote.
What file formats do you accept/provide?
Available formats (programs) include Microsoft Word, Corel WordPerfect, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Picture It!, Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Streets & Trips, and Adobe Photoshop.
Why should I have you design my resume/family newsletter/business cards?
Because I LOVE to do it. Love, love, love it. I spend most of my free time on the computer designing and redesigning. However, I can only use so many business cards or address labels myself...so that's where the customers come in!
